TAPS™, short for Trailer Auxiliary Power System, is a simple tool to ensure electric pallet jacks perform reliably and efficiently.

Drivers spend a lot of time on the road. Depleted electrical equipment batteries can slow fleets down with unnecessary road calls, but Purkeys’ TAPS can charge electric pallet jack batteries between stops.

TAPS uses an inverter to convert DC power to 110 VAC power and is mounted inside the front of the trailer. An outlet is installed at the back of the trailer so an electric pallet jack or other necessary equipment can be plugged in. This allows the devices to be charged while the vehicle is running.

TAPS allows drivers to keep charging pallet jacks while on the road. They know that when they reach their destination, the pallet jack will be charged and ready to efficiently deliver the freight.
