The small town of Manti, Utah is located on Heritage Highway 89 about 120 miles from Salt Lake City. Best known for the LDS Manti Temple, this town is also the home of Purkeys’ second location.
Dale Henningson, Purkeys’ Chief Engineer, grew up in Manti and has spent most of his life in that area. Growing up with a father who had a passion for electronics sparked Dale’s interest in the field. In 2004, Dale founded the company Quantum Ingenuities and contracted with companies, like Purkeys, on electrical product development. Ten years later, his company merged with Purkeys.
“It’s been fun to see how the business Dale established has grown here in Utah,” said Russell Olsen, Purkeys’ Mechanical Engineer. “By merging with Quantum Ingenuities, Purkeys can now have an office that specializes in writing code and building circuits.”
Much like the office in Arkansas, the Purkeys’ Utah location places value on family. Not only does the staff share a close bond from working together, but Dale also spends his days with his father, sister, and daughter. “There’s a lot of good things that come from working with your family,” Dale said. “We know each other and we have confidence in each other. It makes the work and the communication much better.”
